Kawhi Leonard was surgical on Monday night.

The Denver Nuggets and LA Clippers are putting together the most entertaining series in the first round of the playoffs.

The two sides have gone back and forth through the first two games of the series. The Nuggets secured a two-point win in Game 1, with the Clippers taking a three-point win in Game 2.

Evidently, the series is shaping up to be a fun one after early returns, and it’ll be interesting to see how the Clippers fare in their first playoff series in their new arena.

In Game 2, Leonard had a massive bounce-back game, too.

The Clippers’ star forward posted 39 points while shooting a remarkable 15-of-19 from the field.

Nikola Jokic led the way for Denver, scoring 26 points, with Jamal Murray trailing closely with 23 points scored.

Still, LA took a big-time victory, setting up for a pivotal two-game stretch on their home floor.

Given how some other series across the league have looked early on, all eyes could be on the Nuggets and Clippers.

Jokic sends strong Leonard message after recent game

Following a Game 2 loss, Jokic was clear to acknowledge how remarkable Leonard was in the contest, claiming the “difficult” shots aren’t even tough for the Clippers star.

“He made tough shots, but are they really tough shots for him?” Jokic asked.

Leonard is so skilled that he was able to shoot 15-of-19 from the field while making it look effortless.

With the two-time champion playing at this level, the Nuggets are certainly going to struggle to get out of the first round.

It’ll be interesting to see how Leonard continues to perform and what Nuggets interim head coach David Adelman does to adjust defensively.
