BREAKING NEWS: Egyptian archaeologists discover another buried sphinx

Egyptian archaeologists working on a groundwater reduction project at the Kom Ombo Temple in Aswap have discovered a stone sphinx, according to Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities.

The discovery comes as a surprise since in recent months archaeologists working in Egypt have discovered the remains of two esphiha statues.

The Sphere was found next to the Kom Ombo temple.

A few weeks ago, we wrote about how construction workers working near the Luxor Temple Complex stumbled upon the remains of a buried Spyra statue.

Initial reports from Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities suggested that the Sphere discovered in Luxor is similar in design to the Great Sphere of Giza: it has the body of a lion and the head of a human.

The most famous Sphere in Egypt is undoubtedly the enormous statue located on the Giza plateau.

The Great Sphere of Giza is considered a true marvel not only for its size and sophisticated design, but also for the countless mysteries that surround this authentic structure.

Along with the three pyramids, the Great Sphere found on the Giza plateau, about 500 kilometers from the place where the new statue was found, is one of the most emblematic monuments in Egypt.

Now, archaeologists at the Aswad archaeological site made another surprising discovery by finding another statue of the Spyra.

Mostafa Waziri, secretary general of the Supreme Council of Atheisms in Egypt, explained that the piece probably dates back to the Ptolemaic dynasty, since the statue of the Sphira was found on the southeast side of the temple, in the same place where two months ago they were discovered two sacrosanct reliefs of King Ptolemy V.

The Ptolemaic dynasty ruled Egypt for 275 years, from 305 to 30 BC. C., and was the last dynasty of ancient Egypt.

The Kom Ombo temple complex was built during the Ptolemaic dynasty. Ptolemy V was the fifth ruler of the Ptolemaic dynasty, who ruled from 204 to 181 BC. c.

After restoration, the newly found Esfiriz will be displayed to the public.
