A Swiss watch in Qin Shi Huang’s tomb? Evidence of time travel!
A recent archaeological discovery in China has left researchers stunned: a modern clock found inside an ancient Qin Dynasty coffin, located in the Qin Shi Huang funerary complex. This unusual find raises many questions about the accuracy of the story and the possibility of phenomena that challenge our current understanding.
In December 2023, during an excavation in an unexplored area of Qin Shi Huang’s funerary complex, archaeologists discovered a colossal greenstone coffin buried about 20 meters underground. This coffin was attributed to a general or high-ranking nobleman, due to the intricate engravings and precious materials used. Upon opening the coffin, they were surprised to find a small metal object near the skeleton’s right hand.
Initially, the object was identified as a copper ring, but upon subjecting it to an X-ray scan and detailed chemical analysis, researchers discovered that it was a watch. This watch has a sophisticated design, with an intact glass dial and hands that appear to have stopped at 10:10. Its strap, although largely oxidized, suggests that this is a modern wristwatch.
What is most surprising is that the word “Swiss” is engraved on the back of the watch, clear evidence that this artifact could not belong to the Qin era, since the technology to manufacture watches of this type was only developed in the 19th century. This discovery has caused an immediate stir in the scientific community, generating theories to explain the existence of this clock.
Some scientists suspect it could be an elaborate hoax to gain attention. However, independent experts have confirmed that the dust and corrosion on the watch completely matches the environmental conditions inside the coffin, proving that this object has been there for hundreds of years. Archaeologists also claim that this area has not been altered since its sealing in the Qin era.
Another, bolder theory suggests the possibility of time travel. Some physicists and experts in the theory of relativity have intervened in the debate, suggesting that this could be indirect proof of the existence of such a phenomenon. Although there is no concrete scientific evidence, the idea that someone from the future left this watch forgotten in the past is generating controversy and curiosity.
Additionally, some more cautious archaeologists believe that the clock may have fallen into the coffin during a previous excavation, although this is unlikely, as the site has been strictly protected and there is no sign of modern intrusion.
Images and analysis of the watch have been sent to laboratories in Beijing and Switzerland for further study. Scientists hope that examination of its structure and materials will provide more conclusive answers.
This discovery not only raises questions about history and science, but also increases the mystery surrounding the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, a place that had already caused a stir with its famous terracotta army. Could this be proof of a civilization beyond our knowledge, or simply a mystery to be solved? The answer is yet to be discovered.
