A tiny ‘leprechaun’-like mummy is found that defies science and unleashes chilling theories!
The moment the mummy was discovered was in June 1934, according to ancient origins. The origin of this little mummy remains a mystery.
Famous Native American tribes often tell legendary stories about “little people”, “little spirits” either Nimeriga . In some of their stories, elves even have magical powers or healing abilities. In other stories, they were a vicious tribe that attacked Native Americans with poisoned arrows.
The discovery of the mummy attracted a lot of attention and raised many questions and sparked intense controversy. Many people doubt the authenticity of the gold miners’ story. These are no ordinary mummies.
They believe the mummy is a hoax and the story was made up. Scientists flocked to the area, all wanting to determine the truth behind of the little mummy, nicknamed “Peter.” With a sitting height of over 15 cm and an estimated standing height of 35.5 cm, it is clear that these are no ordinary mummies.
Scientists conducted extensive tests on Pedro. First, they looked at the external physical evidence. Pedro was found sitting cross-legged on a small ledge inside the cave. With bulging eyes and a flattened skull, Pedro is very well preserved, to the point that you can even see the mummy’s fingernails.
A gelatinous substance covered Pedro’s head and it was clear that the liquid had been used to preserve the body. The snub nose, full teeth, and wrinkled brown skin give Peter the appearance of an old man.
Over the years following Pedro’s discovery, scientists conducted more invasive tests, using X-rays to try to solve the mystery. Some anthropologists initially concluded that the remains were those of a baby, possibly born prematurely or who died shortly after birth.
However, this is an area of disagreement, as the second group of scientists believe the remains are those of an adult, possibly between 16 and 65 years old. X-rays are said to have shown sharp teeth and the presence of food in the stomach that appeared to be raw meat. Consequently, most scientists agree that Pedro’s mummy is that of an adult male.
X-rays also showed that Pedro had suffered a painful death with broken bones and damage to his spine and skull.
However, some people believe that the mummy and the story of its discovery in the San Pedro Mountains are just a hoax. The viscous liquid on Pedro’s head led some to believe that these were the remains of a deceased baby, reconstructed in some medical center.
Meanwhile, there are also those who believe that Pedro’s mummy is evidence of an Elf-like race like those mentioned in indigenous legends or evidence of an extraterrestrial creature. Everyone finds it difficult to believe that a mummy of such small stature could be an adult.
To date, modern science may provide more clues to Peter’s origin, but the mummy’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
The mummy is said to have been displayed at shows in the 1940s and was later purchased by a man named Ivan Goodman. After Goodman’s death in 1950, the mummy was passed to a man named Leonard Waller (sometimes reported as Walder), but it has not been seen since.
Since the mummy was never found, mysteries about Peter persist to this day. Current scientific examinations can answer many additional questions, such as where Peter came from, whether he had any congenital diseases or conditions, what the gelatinous substance was, and how the body was preserved. His body is sealed in a thick layer of stone.
The answers to these and many other questions can only be answered when Peter’s mummy reappears.
