BREAKING: Historic Nikola Jokic News Draws Quick Response From NBA

April 27, 2025

Nikola Jokic was clearly disappointed after the Denver Nuggets suffered a humiliating 117-83 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 3 of their NBA playoffs opening-round series on Thursday. In fact, Jokic revealed after the game that he had no words for his teammates in the locker room after the devastating defeat.

Jokic let his game do his talking in Game 4 on Saturday night, and the three-time NBA MVP sure made a lot of noise. Jokic finished with a monster 36-point, 21-rebound double-double, to go along with eight assists, two steals, a block and three triples in 43 minutes of action.

Thanks to Jokic’s strong play — and an incredible Aaron Gordon buzzer-beating putback slam — the Nuggets were able to escape with a 101-99 road win on Saturday to even out the series at 2-2.

Jokic’s awe-inspiring performance drew a quick reply from the NBA as the league revealed another bit of historic news surrounding the Nuggets big man.

“JOKER BEING JOKER,” the NBA posted on X, while also announcing that the seven-time All-Star is now just the fourth player in league history to register at least 35 points, 20 rebounds and eight assists in a playoff game.

Jokic has been nothing short of spectacular in this series, but the Nuggets will need more of the same from him the rest of the way.

It’s the Nuggets who hold the advantage now that this series is deadlocked, with two of the last three games (should there be a Game 7) taking place at Ball Arena in Denver.

The Clippers, however, have already won once on the road in this series, and they will be looking to replicate this feat come Tuesday.
