Former NBA center DeMarcus Cousins was in the news on Friday when he revealed that the Phoenix Suns had multiple fistfights in the locker room this season.

The Suns were a walking disaster in 2024-25 despite having Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. They missed the playoffs and play-in tournament and fired Mike Budenholzer as head coach after one season.

Durant, who is very active on social media, saw Cousins' comments and said it wasn't true.

Cousins responded to Durant, saying that a Suns player is the individual who told him about the fistfights.

Durant, 36, then replied by stating that Cousins’ source is lying.

The Suns are expected to trade Durant this offseason. The future Hall of Famer wants to get traded to the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat or Houston Rockets.

However, the Suns can trade Durant anywhere because the 15-time All-Star doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.

Durant's stint with the Phoenix hasn't gone well. The Suns lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2023 playoffs and got swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2024 postseason.

A top 75 player of all time, Durant showed this season that he remains one of the best players in the NBA. The two-time Finals MVP averaged 26.6 points while shooting 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from beyond the arc and 83.9% from the foul line.

The Suns have spoken to the Spurs, Heat, Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors about a Durant trade.

It will be intriguing to see where KD, who has one year left on his contract, is playing next season.
