LeBron James, Steph Curry Receive Strong Message From ESPN NBA Producer - Yahoo Sports

LeBron James and Steph Curry are two of the best players in NBA history. The basketball legends have combined to win six MVPs, eight championships and five Finals MVPs.

James is the leading scorer in NBA history. He's a four-time MVP, a four-time champion and a four-time Finals MVP.

Meanwhile, Curry has made the most 3-pointers of all time. He's a two-time MVP, a four-time champion and a one-time Finals MVP.

James (40) and Curry (37) will likely retire soon, but someone at ESPN doesn't want the future Hall of Famers to go into hiding.

Tim Corrigan, ESPN's lead NBA producer, told Andrew Marchand that he wants James, Curry and Chris Paul to join ESPN as analysts one day.

“We’re hopeful,” Corrigan said. “You talk about those two guys, besides their insane physical gifts and talents and all the work they’ve done, their basketball minds, we would all benefit from more exposure to that. Right? And I would say somebody like a Chris Paul, who did a little bit with us last year, coming in and jumping in the studio and doing all that.

"Just to spend the time to see how they see the game and feel the game. And recognize, there’s so many stories about LeBron knowing the call the other team’s making and telling his guys on the court, ‘Here’s what they’re going to do’ based on who’s coming on the court."

It's unknown when exactly James and Curry will retire.

James has a player option to return to the Los Angeles Lakers next season, while Curry has two years left on his contract with the Golden State Warriors.

James and Curry made the All-NBA Second Team this year, proving that they are still elite players despite being 40 and 37, respectively.

James' Lakers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2025 playoffs, while Curry's Warriors lost to the Timberwolves in the second round.
