As the NBA enters the offseason, the Denver Nuggets have begun to reflect about the past season on social media.

Denver has been going through one of the players on their roster each day over the last few weeks and they announced on Wednesday that it was Michael Porter Jr. day.

"MPJ Day is underway," the Nuggets posted on X on Wednesday.

Of course, Porter Jr. played a key role for the Nuggets during the season as he put together arguably the best year of his career.

Despite this, Nuggets fans seem to all be in agreement about what Denver should do with Porter Jr. this offseason as they had strong opinions on social media.

“I’m going to have the best day ever when we trade him,” one fan commented.

“Trade him please,” another fan posted.

“Trade him away today and this will be celebrated in Denver every single year,” another fan wrote.

“Trade him. He’s awful,” one fan posted.

“Darn… I though this was a trade tweet,” another fan commented.

It is clear that Nuggets fans want the franchise to move on from Porter Jr. this offseason but that may not be the case.

Denver has been reluctant to trade Porter Jr. over the past two seasons and that may be the case once again this summer.

Porter Jr. is coming off a season in which he averaged 18.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 50.4% from the field and 39.5% from three-point range.

It was statistically the best season of the 26-year-old forward’s career but after his struggles in the playoffs due to a shoulder injury, fans seem to have their minds made up about his future with the franchise.

Of course, the Nuggets will look to retool their roster around Nikola Jokic this summer and with most of their cap space tied up in their core, they may have to move on from Porter Jr. if they want to add another key piece to chase a title next season.
