BREAKING: Nuggets Send 5-Word Nikola Jokic Message After Historical Announcement
Regardless of who raised the MVP trophy at the season’s end — with the two frontrunners being Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic — it’s been a campaign to remember.
While the Denver Nuggets’ season has been less-than-stellar, Jokic has posted a career-best campaign.
The Serbian superstar, for the first time in his career, has posted a triple-double as a season average.
To put this into perspective, Jokic is having the best season of his illustrious career after taking home three of the past four MVP trophies.
Jokic joins elite company with Russell Westbrook and Oscar Robertson as the three players to achieve the feat of averaging a triple-double in a season.
Doing it with Westbrook on the roster with him makes it that much sweeter, too.
The superstar center also happens to be the first at his position to achieve the feat, with Westbrook and Robertson both being guards.
Still, the Nuggets are having a shaky end to Jokic’s superb season as they are likely to be an early postseason exit team.
Nuggets make 5-word Jokic statement
Jokic constantly weaves his way into NBA history, as he’s been magnificent in Denver, even leading them to a title in 2023.
“Once in a generation player,” the Nuggets shared on X.

Evidently, their statement couldn’t be more true. If Jokic were available for trade, the other 29 teams would be more than ready to pounce on the superstar and all-time player.
The Nuggets are more than blessed to have Jokic on their roster, and they will do everything in their power, with a clean house, to build around him this offseason and pursue another title.
