BREAKING: Paul Pierce Has Major Trade Suggestion to Nuggets to Benefit Nikola Jokic
Questions about the supporting cast that the Denver Nuggets had for Nikola Jokic were plentiful following a second-round exit to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paul Pierce thought of a way to fix that.
The former Boston Celtics superstar certainly knows a thing or two about being well-supported. After being hung out to dry early in his career, the Celtics organization brought in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to back him up.
That decision immediately paid off with a championship in the trio's first season together. Does that make Pierce the expert on the subject? No, but it does mean the high-scoring forward would not be shy about chiming in on the matter.

Pierce offers major trade suggestion to Nuggets
The Nuggets are in a tough spot when it comes to the assets available to them that could help upgrade the roster this offseason. With that in mind, Pierce went for a cost-friendly suggestion on the Ticket & The Truth show.
“For the next five years, if you got the best player, you got to put some pieces [around him. ... I feel like if they had a DeMar DeRozan with that team right now, with Joker, he don’t need to be the best player or the second best player every night.
He is going to give you more than what Michael Porter Jr. gave you. You know what I’m saying? If he comes out there and gives you a solid 15 [points], and on a good night gives you a [double-double assists and rebounds of] five, which he can do, that’s who I would target.”

The veteran acquisition of DeRozan should be one that is available this offseason after the Sacramento Kings swapped out general managers. It would be a move perfectly in the realm of possibility.
