Steph Curry saw his season end earlier than he and the Golden State Warriors hoped this spring.
After eliminating the Houston Rockets, the Warriors took Game 1 of their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. But during that game, Curry went down with an injury and never returned to the court. Golden State went on to lose the next four games and was eliminated from the playoffs.
Now in the offseason, the 37-year-old guard is keeping busy with workouts, golf and, apparently, some YouTube fun alongside one of the internet’s biggest stars.
“Spent some time with MrBeast a few months back 🤣. A time was had. Link in my story for the full video!” Curry's caption read.
The video features Curry taking on a shooting challenge against a high school sharpshooter. The twist? The high schooler got 60 seconds to make as many shots as possible, while Curry had to do it in just 30 seconds.
Naturally, the internet had a lot to say.
"My glorious king Stephen Goat Curry."
"Look at curry man 😂."
"GOAT."
"Glorious king curry."
"3points maaaannnn🔥🔥🔥."
"Spoiler alert, high schooler gets cooked."
The appearance was part of a collaboration with MrBeast, who was named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in 2023. In 2022, Forbes estimated his net worth at $500 million.
Curry was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft out of Davidson and has spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors. He won four NBA titles and earned two league MVP awards. He also helped Team USA win gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Curry has one year left on his four-year, $215 million contract, but signed a one-year, $62.5 million extension. He’s set to become an unrestricted free agent in the 2027 season.
