BREAKING: The next blockbuster signing for the Warriors is a star from the Nuggets.
The Golden State Warriors had a disappointing end to their season and they now have a crucial offseason ahead of them as they try to upgrade their roster.
Of course, the Warriors looked like a completely different team after adding Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline to pair alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
Despite this, an untimely injury by Curry in Game 1 of their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves ultimately led to their elimination in five games, ending their season.

Now the Warriors will try to upgrade their roster around their aging trio this offseason as they try to capture another championship next season.
While Golden State has been linked to many players this summer including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Vucevic and Naz Reid, they have also emerged as the favorite to land a star player from the Denver Nuggets.
According to Bovada, the Warriors are the favorite (+300) to land Michael Porter Jr. from the Nuggets this summer via trade.

They are followed by the Chicago Bulls (+400), Los Angeles Lakers (+600) and Orlando Magic (+700).
Of course, Porter Jr. put together the best regular season of his career this season with the Nuggets but he did struggle in the playoffs after suffering a left shoulder injury in the first round.
Despite his playoff struggles, Porter Jr. took a major leap this season as he averaged 18.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 50.4% from the field and 39.5% from three-point range.

Porter Jr. is a great scorer and one the Warriors could definitely use on the wing to allow Butler and Green to work inside.
While Porter Jr. is a great scorer and three-point shooter, he does struggle at times on the defensive side though he has improved there thanks to his length.
Despite this, Golden State could instead elect to look elsewhere to upgrade their roster this summer, especially due to Porter Jr.’s inconsistency at times.
