World Impact: The Yeti Snowman is the Descendant of a Cross Between Humans and a Mysterious Creature!

December 21, 2024

A group of scientists surprised the world by announcing that there is evidence suggesting the existence of the Yeti. But that’s not all: according to their research, the Yeti could be the result of a hybrid between a woman of the Homo sapiens species and an unidentified primate.

According to the SlashGear portal, this astonishing discovery comes from an interdisciplinary team composed of experts in genetics, forensic science, pathology and imaging, led by Dr. Melba S. Ketchum of the DNA Diagnostic Organization in Texas, United States.

Dr. Ketchum explained that her team analyzed 20 complete mitochondrial genomes obtained from creatures known as Yeti, Bigfoot or Sasquatch. According to their research, these creatures could currently be living in North America.

More impressively, DNA data collected over five years indicates that this legendary creature could be related to humans. In fact, the team claims to have deciphered three complete nuclear genomes of the Yeti, which led them to determine that it would be a hybrid species.

Dr. Ketchum noted that the mitochondrial DNA – inherited exclusively from the mother – in the samples analyzed is identical to the DNA of modern humans. However, nuclear DNA samples – which contain the combined genetic makeup of both parents – present an unusual mix: human DNA combined with “non-human” DNA.

“Genetically, snow humans are a hybrid between humans and a species that could be an ancestor of modern humans,” Ketchum said in his statement.

Despite the excitement surrounding this discovery, the research team’s claims have sparked skepticism. First of all, the Yeti is still considered by many to be a legend. This raises the question: how can Dr. Ketchum’s team be sure that the samples analyzed actually belong to a Yeti?

Another point of controversy is that Dr. Ketchum has not yet revealed the exact origin of the DNA samples. Furthermore, he explained that his research is in a joint review process, in which scientists from specialized journals analyze and evaluate the findings before their official publication. Therefore, his team’s work has not yet been recognized by the scientific community.

For those who remain skeptical, there is a glimmer of hope: other researchers are also interested in unraveling the mystery of the Yeti. For example, a group at the University of Oxford, led by Bryan Sykes, is carrying out independent research on these enigmatic creatures.

The debate about the existence of the Yeti is still open. Can science finally answer this ancient mystery?
